How has Cinema United membership been impactful to you and/or your business?My membership at Cinema United has been invaluable for networking and keeping up with what the trends are in the movie theatre business.
I owned a computer software company that automated a number of theatres. In automating them, I realized that movie theatres are all about creating fun and making smiles. Computers are all about fixing problems. It was an easy decision to go with making people smile.
I have a great job. My job description is to make people smile.
It was 2017 and the movie was Wonder. We booked over 4,000 students for school field trips on the opening weekend. We had schools coming from 90 miles away. My theatre was usually ranked around 1,100 in the country but that weekend we were in the top ten.

My favorite experience has to be the first time I watched Ghostbusters.
I see a bright future for movie theatres. We proved that streaming is never going to replace a trip to the movies. What excites me is that we will continue to be the first movie for a kid, the first date for a couple, and grandparents’ first movie with their grandkids. No one is remembering their first of anything streaming a movie.
