How has Cinema United membership been impactful to you and/or your business?Cinema United has been essential in working with different exhibition companies and aligning to work toward a common goal that helps our industry in the long term.
I started as an Assistant Manager of a theatre in 1998 in Atlanta, GA. General Cinema, Parkway Point.
My favorite thing about my job is seeing smiles on our guests’ faces when they visit us, as our vision is to, “Share joy through extraordinary experiences,” and working with our young workforce to develop them as leaders, no matter what career path they choose going forward. Creating a work environment for our theatre teams where they have respect for each other and the freedom to create, perform and inspire is important to me!

I remember watching Jaws in a movie theatre in Kuwait as a kid. I knew then I wanted to have something to do with the movies. At that time, it was not clear to me what it was but later on I developed a passion for running movie theatres. Started as an Assistant Manager, moved up the ladder in various levels of the company and then finally became head of Ops.
What excites me about the future is this industry is trying different things to get people into our buildings: it’s not just the movies, it the entire entertainment experience that keeps creating repeat customers for us. Movies, variety of foods/bars, gaming, merchandise, etc.
